At the Athletics Canada Semi-Annual General Meeting that just wrapped up, there were a number of changes made. Amongst the changes, Athletics Canada has renamed the award for Development Coach of the Year to the “Jane & Gerry Swan Award”. As said by Brian McCalder, CEO BC Athletics, in a letter of congratulations to Gerry,
“This is so well deserved and truly recognizes what Jane did for the sport of Athletics and what you have done and continue to do in the promotion and development of our sport.
Our sport has benefit so much from the involvement of “The Swan Family” locally, provincially and nationally.”.
